I'm Max, an event photographer based in Campbell River. I shot clubs, concerts, yachts and weddings in Dubai. Now I photograph events across Vancouver Island, from Campbell River to the Comox Valley and Nanaimo.

Weddings, parties, stages, launches
Weddings
The ceremony, the people and the party after. Reportage first, a few portraits when you want them.
Parties and birthdays
Night work is where I started: flash, sparklers, dance floors, the moment the cake comes out.
Corporate events
Conferences, launches, grand openings and team days. Photos your company can use for a year.
Concerts and festivals
Stage light, smoke and crowds. I know how to keep colour when the room is dark.

Two lights
Night. Live concerts, clubs, birthdays and private parties. Taking photos in the dark takes flash, a ring light and the patience to keep the room's colour.
Day. Pool parties, boats, festivals, sport and grand openings. Working with sunlight you can't control, and making skin and water both look right.
Captions show each photo's real lens, aperture, shutter speed and ISO, read from the original file.
About
Who takes the photos
My name is Max. I worked for event agencies and productions in Ukraine for 8 years, then moved to Dubai, where I photographed nightlife, yacht parties, weddings and brands.
I care most about colour and retouching. When you look back at the photos, you should remember how the day felt.
Today I live in Campbell River on Vancouver Island and photograph events across the island.
